Emily Culbertson brings nearly two decades of strong litigation experience, including substantial courtroom practice.*
Previously, Emily served as a Trial Attorney in the Fraud Section of the U.S. Department of Justice, prosecuting complex federal cases involving health care fraud, wire fraud, bank fraud, money laundering, and FDA violations.
Emily also spent 10 years as a litigator with leading global law firms, including Sidley Austin and Greenberg Traurig, where she handled matters including:
- Customer litigation
- SEC and FINRA investigations
- Internal investigations for major financial institutions and accounting firms
She later served as senior in-house litigation counsel for Morgan Stanley, one of the world’s leading financial institutions.
Now with Akempis, Emily focuses on enforcing consumer protection laws and ensuring businesses comply with public health and safety requirements.
